For as many people that are aware of pigeon racing there are even more people that have never heard of pigeon racing and if properly introduced would be amazed at what our feathered friends are capable of achieving
This is a sport that anyone can partake in from the very rich to the very poor and it does not require you to be an athletic type person, pigeon racing is also one of the few sports that can be enjoyed by handy caped people.

In our new day and age young people have forgotten how to interact and care
for nature.
Pigeon Racing is a sport that will strengthen and reinforce that bond with
nature that we seem to be loosing as it gives way to computers and cell phones
Durban Racing Pigeon Club Is proud to be involved in a Adopt a junior program where members of our club will take junior under our wing and allow them to fly pigeons from our lofts bred from our stock so that junior do not need to go through the expense of building and maintain a loft of birds, we believe this system will also encourage parents to be more enthusiastic as they do not need to outlay any finances for there children to get involved and share this amazing sport.
